Summer 1 Curriculum Letter
Our trip to Jorvik
Year 5 travelled to York to visit Jorvik Viking Centre and The Dig. We took a ride through a Viking Village and saw what life was like over a thousand years ago. The children learned about Viking homes, jobs and what they had to eat. Everyone enjoyed discovering the artifacts at The Dig and learning about Viking history.
Henry-Lee said, "I like The Dig because you could search for ancient artifacts!"
Summer explained, “I liked it when we went to The Dig to find ancient things in the sand. I also enjoyed the ride around the Viking village."
