FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN write to save the planet!

In September, we welcomed children back to school with three fun filled days based on the book 'There's A Rang-Tan in my Bedroom'.

Children were able to meet and greet our very own orangutan visitor as well as create films featuring him and his friends. Children also experienced other workshops that helped bring the story to life. They enjoyed meeting some creepy crawlies from around the world as well as creating music based on the sounds of the rainforest.

Throughout this time, children learned about deforestation and the importance of looking after the environment and the things in it. They have worked hard to  produce some fantastic pieces of writing which highlight the importance of sustainable living .
