🥫🌽🥔Harvest Donations🥔🌽🥫
Wed 22 Oct 2025Today, Alex, Frankie and Matthew, who have achieved their Golden Star, accompanied Mrs Nichols and Mrs Taylor to take our donations to the Pantry Project. A huge thank you to all the donations made by our Farfield Family. Mr Neild, the Church Administrator sent the lovely email of thanks below:
I wanted to take the opportunity once again to thank you and the children of Farfield Primary School for the generosity of your donations to the St. Wilfrid's Church Pantry Project which we received this morning.
Our Church Pantry Project has now been running for well over three years and helps to provide affordable food to those members of the Lidget Green Community who struggle through the cost-of-living crisis. The food you donated will go to them free of charge.
The generosity of your children and their families will be truly appreciated by the surrounding community of BD7 who visit us. Please do share our thanks and wish them all a safe and healthy Harvest period as the nights begin to draw in.

Whole School Assembly - 🥖🥕🥦🥔🥣Harvest🥣🥔🥦🥕🥖
Mon 13 Oct 2025In assembly this morning, Mrs Nichols shared with us why we are supporting the local food banks. Ten years ago, over 1 million food parcels were given out in the UK. This has increased every year - particularly during lockdown. We discussed why people might need food parcels such as changes in circumstances.
We are very grateful to our families for the donations collected today which will be delivered to our local food bank in the coming days - thank you for your generosity! -
