Whole School Assembly - Making Good Choices
Mon 22 Jan 2024This morning Adam came to do our school assembly. He talked to us about voting and how to choose the best things. We voted for our favourite biscuits and Farfield decided that Oreo’s are the best!
Adam then talked to us about how the best thing isn’t always the best choice. If we had Oreo’s for breakfast, dinner and tea it wouldn’t be the best for our bodies. He talked to us about making the right choices and how sometimes that can be hard but that we should always try and make kind choices. -
FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN impress real life Authors
Fri 05 Jan 2024In September our whole school book was about a Girl and a Dinosaur and Dinosaurs became the theme for our September starter.
Once we finished our writing unit on 'The Girl and the Dinosaur', we sent the author (Hollie Hughes) some examples of the children’s writing and photos of our display.
She said, ‘This is absolutely amazing to see, and the work the children have produced is phenomenal! Thank you so much for choosing The Girl and the Dinosaur to work on!’
She very kindly sent us a signed copy of the book plus a signed copy of her brand new story and also a bookmark for every child in school.
Well done Farfield, you have really impressed the author with your writing.

FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN - OH YES THEY CAN!
Thu 04 Jan 2024To engage our children in their writing of fairytales, we decided what better than to have a live pantomime in school!
This performance which required lots of audience participation, immersed the children in the story of Cinderella and encouraged them to share their own fairytale ideas.

Everyone at Farfield would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
Today we would like to thank the staff who work as part of the dementia service at Springfield Care Home who wanted to support the local community and chose to send lots of gifts to Father Christmas for the children at Farfield to receive.
We'd also like to thank the Farfield staff who sent gifts to Father Christmas to be delivered to our children, as well as our Friends at St Wilfrid's Church who donated hampers to some of our families too. This year our classes made cards that Mrs Hussain delivered to Springfield to send our Christmas wishes to them - the cards were lovely and the residents really enjoyed them!

Mon 11 Dec 2023A huge congratulations to Everly and Amelia who won our attendance prizes this week!
Everly had an amazing 100% attendance and Amelia has a super 98.5% attendance. Everly has picked a lovely purple bike and Amelia has picked a blue bike for her brother - what an amazing big sister.

Let's keep up our high attendance - every day is a learning day and every day counts!
