September Starter - 🐌Supersized Snail with Sand In Your Eye🐌
Fri 05 Sep 2025Over the past two days, we have had the absolute pleasure of working with Sand In Your Eye.
Their founder, Jamie, joined us to share his journey. He told us all about the opportunities he has said 'YES' to and the path that has taken him on from his local routes to the far off places he's travelled.
Jamie and his team helped us to create a fabulous piece of landart. Our supersized snail contains a goal, aspiration or dream of every single Farfield child.

September Starter - 🐌What a way to spend our days!🐌
Fri 05 Sep 2025The children have been brought together through a wonderful shared experience on their first three days back in school.
Our whole school book has brought us all together and children and adults alike have tried new things in our new classes.
The hall now proudly displays the theme of our book; 'TAKE YOUR OWN PATH' and the children have explored what that can look like through song, rhythm and dance. They have thought about what they want to achieve this year creating a paper chain of class goals. A 'walk' of snails now parades through school to which all of the children have contributed and soon our displays based on the illustrations inspired by Jana Curll are underway!

September Starter - 'My Path'
Fri 05 Sep 2025What a wonderful welcome back our children, staff and families have had!
Our September Starter whole school text was the story, 'My Path' by Jana Curll. The children have spent the last three days emersed in the story of a little snail who every morning sets off on their Path. The snail has mountains to climb, rushing rivers to cross and, sometimes, when the path ahead seems impossible, they need to ask for help. But as long as it feels like the right Path for them, this determined snail keeps going. The children have followed the adventurous snail as it decided not to follow the crowd and faced unexpected challenges. The journey of the snail is inspiring and shows ANYONE can defy the odds and find their own unique way forward.

FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN be Poets!
Fri 23 May 2025This term we began with the text 'Flooded' by Mariajo Ilustrajo, a beautifully illustrated story of animals who have to learn to work together to save their city. This has been the inspiration for our whole school poetry theme which was celebrated today with each class performing a poem written by the class child from the class.
Our Reading Ambassadors were our judges and our congratulations go to our winners 3G.
Well done to all our children, you performed with the enthusiasm of true Poets!
