FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN be Poets!
Fri 23 May 2025This term we began with the text 'Flooded' by Mariajo Ilustrajo, a beautifully illustrated story of animals who have to learn to work together to save their city. This has been the inspiration for our whole school poetry theme which was celebrated today with each class performing a poem written by the class child from the class.
Our Reading Ambassadors were our judges and our congratulations go to our winners 3G.
Well done to all our children, you performed with the enthusiasm of true Poets!

FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN receive correspondence from the Palace 👑
Tue 18 Mar 2025In September, the purpose of the writing in Year 6 was to persuade King Charles to do something about deforestation. Our September whole school book, 'There's a Rang-tan In My Bedroom' got the children thinking about what changes need to be made to look after the animals who live in the rainforests and they decided to share their ideas in the letters they wrote.
This week, Year 6 were excited to receive a letter back from Buckingham Palace who had received our letters and were extremely impressed with our thoughtful contributions.
