FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN raise money for BBC Children In Need!
Fri 15 Nov 2024The Farfield Fundraisers have been working hard all week to sell raffle tickets, Children in Need badges and pens and lots of lovely buns and cakes!!

Whole School Assembly - Firework Safety
Mon 04 Nov 2024This morning Mrs Nichols talked to us about Bonfire Night and the story behind it. She then shared the firework code so that we can enjoy fireworks safely.
We were reminded that:
Only adults should light fireworks
We should stand well back from bonfires
Sparklers should be held at a arm’s length (you should wear gloves and to make it easier to hold you can even stick it in a carrot to make a chunky handle)
You should never go back to a lit firework
Fireworks should be stored in METAL box which is not flammable
We should keep pets and animals safe because loud noises scare them
We should never throw or play with fireworks - they are not toys and are dangerous
Follow the firework code and stay safe on bonfire night! -

FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN design, vote & create
Fri 25 Oct 2024Today was our annual 🎃Pumpkin Day🎃! Each class was able to enter one decorated pumpkin into the competition. All of the children designed what they would like to turn their pumpkin into. The children in each class then voted for which design would be used to create the class pumpkin - practising the British Value of Democracy. The children then turned the winning design into their class creation and judging commenced! As always, it was a tough competition and Mrs Nichols had a very difficult job choosing the winners.

FARFIELD CHILDREN CAN be Playtime Reading Ambassadors 📖
Wed 23 Oct 2024Meet our new 📚Playtime reading ambassadors📚. These fantastic pupils applied for the role and had to convince Mrs Brannan that they could be responsible and trustworthy. Their job is to curate a box of books that their classmates will enjoy reading. They will take the books outside every playtime and dinner time and will be encouraging others to read and make recommendations for their friends.
